Nearly 70% of Hawaii’s total population is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to the latest Hawaii COVID-19 vaccine summary.
As of Thursday, 2,059,716 vaccine doses — including booster doses — have been administered through state and federal distribution programs, up more than 16,500 from Tuesday.
To date, 69.2% of the state’s population is now fully vaccinated and 77.4% have received at least one dose. Some 37,439 booster doses have been administered.
The Big Island reported Thursday 65% of its residents — or more than 129,500 people, were fully vaccinated; 77% of the population has received at least one dose.
The state estimates 114,457 eligible individuals have yet to receive a shot, down from 118,658 on Tuesday.
